We are Kieran and Jane and we live in Lincolnshire with our 3 children and our 3 Rhodesian Ridgeback girls Zola, Stella and Juno.
I (Jane) have wanted a house full of Ridgebacks ever since meeting my first one back in New Zealand in 1985. Kieran took a little more convincing but eventually agreed/conceded that the time was right to add a Ridgeback, or 2 or 3 or…
First and foremost our dogs are treasured family pets, who come on the school run, eat leftover cereal and toast crusts, are dressed up in Halloween outfits and Santa hats and are the top yoghurt pot cleaner outers ever. We holiday with them and have adapted our lives to fit in with them as to us they are family. Our children have been taught how to care for and respect them and they all enjoy a particularly special relationship with the dogs.
We do show our dogs as a hobby which we enjoy immensely, we are lucky to have met some truly wonderful people who we now count as close friends through this hobby of ours. It is worth pointing out that I (Jane) am a rank novice at this showing lark. We were welcomed into the breed warmly and have had some terrific advice and help along the way, for which we are grateful. We are members of the Midland and Northern Rhodesian Ridgeback Club and we support as fully as we can all club events. A link the the MNRRC is here.
We were granted our kennel affix Ngirozi in 2011. Ngirozi means angels, a truly fitting description we thought, for such special girls.
